2-28-8 oahu scuba diving beginner divers in Hawaii, sharks and turtles

Richard and Morris (Spelling ?)- What a great day yesterday , dolphins, whales in the distance turtles and yes SHARKS !!!!! The Twins did great for their first time, just like a fish. Kids are really great, they just jump in and charge. The first dive was at a place just off of Waikiki called turtle canyons. Great little dive with plenty to see, beginner divers OR certified divers ; this place does not matter - IT ROCKS !

After the dive it was time to head west. Captain Carl hoisted up the main sail and off we went- burning zero gas ! What a life. On to horseshoe reef the Twins did even better- so good we managed to pull off 35 feet ! Great job girls and how did you like that huge eel ???? Scary huh ? Anyway thank you all for coming with us, I had a great time , Jeff and Chris did as well. See you all next year.

Seatiger shipwreck scuba diving and kewalo reef right off of Oahu

Ok Ok I am late- here is some information about the dive the other day on the Seatiger shipwreck located in Oahu with Margret. Hey Margret, thanks for coming with us, your first shipwreck dive in Hawaii ! YEA ! Conditions were fine and hardly no current. Went down to the main decks of the seatiger - the fun began. Both Margret and I penetrated the ship entering around the engine room area which was around 90 feet. Nice experience and definitely exciting. Tons of cool fish and guess what we seen hanging around 120 feet ? Two very nice and disgracefully swimming Hawaiian sting rays. We got some cool videos and great pictures.
Second dive was kewalo reef, actually the pipe. Very nice little dive, no current and visibility was around 60 feet. A beautiful frog fish that I couldn't resist taking pictures of , try 12 pictures !!!!Nice 35 minute dive, great time with Margret and I do hope to see you again, OR your friends and family would be just as nice. Shipwreck scuba diving in Hawaii

Today was great, the YO-257 Hawaii was exciting and challenging today. The visibility was not as good as it could be but very fun. Since I am a pilot I love low visibility. Current was a little strong at times, I was amazed at all the fun turtles and cool Hawaiian fish life that thrive on the yo-257 shipwreck. Shipwreck scuba diving is fascinating; I can't get enough of it ! I NEED MY YO FIX !

Then it was over to Kewalo west reef, fun and again a little challenging. The vis was low but plenty to see. Cool octopus was frolicking over the reef top looking for, crap I don't know. I did manage to take some cool underwater pictures of it. Great time and thank you scuba diving with Oahu Diving.Com

Hello my friends of the world, today we dove AGAIN at the Mahi shipwreck. Yesterday was to good to pass up again. Thank you Todd and Susan for the wonderful company and obviously for choosing Oahu Diving.Com for your Oahu scuba diving company.
Mahi was great. Didn't see dolphins but we did manage to see a school of eagle rays patrolling the perimeter of the wreck. Lots of reef fish and of course the turtles were sleeping on the deck.
BRIAN WHERE IS YOUR BLOG ????? Going to get some sleep ! Tomorrow we are diving the Seatiger wreck, I won't forget the camera this time.

Mahi Shipwreck - Westside Oahu- DOLPHINS !!!!!!

What a beautiful day today was on the west side of the island. With Carol, Kimmy, Chad and Giavani for the 2 dive Mahi special without onions ! Weather was bad on the southside so we decided to hit the west side for some great diving and fun scuba time in Oahu. Current was non-existent with 80 foot visibility on the Mahi. One gray reef shark was circling around the shipwreck which pretty much thrilled us the while time. After 25 minutes it was time to head back to gravity.

During the surface interval on the dive boat a pod of spinner dolphins swam buy- OF I JUMPED IN !!!!!

After an hour surface interval we were back in for a shallow section of the Mahi. Again, a gray reef shark wanted us to know this was his place to hang and politly accepted this non hostil posture. LOL Gee you gotta love sharks.

Thanks all for diving with Oahu Diving . Com - your source for the best dive points on the island.

Turtle Canyons and Nautilus reef,

Tired of sitting in Honolulu, Waikiki area and not doing anything ? Try scuba diving on Oahu like Kuan, Mark, Von Kaz, Toshi and Hymie did. Today was great for scuba diving in Hawaii. First we dove the turtle canyons area and it was a blast. 30 feet and plenty of Hawaiian sea turtles.

Second dive, ohhh you bet we do 2 dives, was at the Nautilus reef. This time down to 40 feet. No sharks but some cool Hawaiian sea creatures. Plenty of butterfly and tangs , thanks for the Kahala Kai for this cool adventure today.

Seativer shipwreck and Horseshoe Reef

What a great day for making 2 dives. The first was on the Seatiger shipwreck located on Oahu with a group of fun divers from Maryland. Bottom time was around 25 minutes and boy was the current a little strong.

Second dive was the cool horseshoe reef located just outside of Kewalo boat basin. This is an excellent reef to see some baby whitetip reef sharks and a few turtles.

But guys thanks for diving with me today and I look forward to seeing you out on the boat soon.

Mahi Shipwreck and Lava Tubes - WEST SIDE !!!

What another fabulous day of scuba diving in the Hawaiian Island archipelago. First up, was the Mahi shipwreck. This was excellent with emphasis on the 2 gray reef sharks hanging out. Spent about 30 minutes on this wreck...WHOOPS. Nice 9 minute long safety stop .

Second dive was the lava tubes. Great time, cool turtles and long bottom time of 45 minutes. Chris and Chuck you guys are crazy. Seriously I have never had customers like you guys before trying to wrestle white tip reef sharks, totally nuts. I have to admit it was fun though.

YO-257 Shipwreck Waikiki andTUrtle Canyons - Oahu Scuba Diving

Doing Advanced Open Water work, today with 3 guests from Montreal. My divers had requested the YO 257, so I agreed . LOL. It was a good choice. Vis was awesome, just a mild current and before you knew it we had the divers off into the water. Billy you owe me one ! LOL

A couple BIG sharks were cruising around. Also large schools of barracuda and yellow striped snapper. The HUGE moray is still living under the wing - I wonder how many octopus this thing ate that day ?. It’s been a while since I got to dive the plane and it was good to get back and see it.

Dive two was more training, this time with a compass at Koko Craters. I had divers swimming all over working the bezel, lubberlines and swimming square patterns . I manage to see a turtle, I almost missed it was it swam over the top of me as I was looking for little creatures in the sand.

But guys thanks for diving with me today and I look forward to seeing you out on the boat soon.

Pink House and Koko Craters- East Side Oahu

Pink House is always a blast to dive. Located on the southeast side of Oahu this dive feels advanced but it is quit easy. We at Oahu Diving .Com try to do this spot at least once a week, i'd like to do it more. This is a drift dive but not to deep ; allowing long bottoms with a feel of a deep dive. Many white tip reef sharks hanging out on the wall area which was a thrill for all of us.I got a great shot was you can see in this pretty big cave of a sleeping white tip reef shark. Way cool. After this dive it was on to Koko Craters, great visibility with a few turtles hanging around- mostly sleeping. As always we will be back to dive these cool Oahu scuba diving locations.

YO-257 Shipwreck Waikiki and Horseshoe Reef - Oahu Scuba Diving

What a great day today was for diving. Plenty of wind, rain and no sunshine ! LOL - But once under the water the Oahu scuba diving adventure kicked in full blast. The first dive was a great dive, we did the YO-257. Plenty of reef fish turtles and rays. The current was mild however we did work on this dive a little more than usually. Bottom time was around 25 minutes and everything went smooth. After the shipwreck dive it was on to a cool 40-60 foot reef dive. Heading over to Horseshoe Reef we hoisted the sail and headed over to HS reef. Conditions were nice, not too bad on the current but easy to manage. Bottom time here was around 45 minutes. Cool eels ! Thank you , Tony, Tamara, Kristy and Scott. You all did great ! Come back soon to Oahu Diving.Com
